Inside every mind, things of different textures and weights pile up. Some are smooth, some rough; some bright, some faded. These feelings, memories, and half-digested moments don't get erased or sorted out — they simply accumulate, layer upon layer.
The Weight We Keep gives form to these inner organisms, built from what has piled up within. Each mound appears to stand as its own separate being, yet in truth it is a single body that finds balance only by leaning on the others. The white fur reaching out to embrace the neighboring form was my way of showing that these accumulated weights don't have to push each other away,they can hold one another instead.
We often think of what piles up inside us as burdens to be discarded. This piece looks at it differently. To be stacked, to be piled that, too, is a way of being. And a form that carries its own weight can still hold its own balance, its own warmth. The Weight We Keep is my attempt to translate that inner landscape into soft, organic forms accumulating on top of one another.
